<b>Description</b><br>
A distinctly figurative and totemic work within the ISHISHI collection. The composition depicts a fantastical creature or figure with an elongated curved body that incorporates architectural elements - buildings and geometric structures are embedded within the torso. At the right end, a deer or giraffe-like animal head droops, dripping water or tears into a rounded vessel or pot below. The left side features beaded and necklace-like dangling forms. The blend of organic biomorphic shapes with geometric architectural motifs gives the creature a quality reminiscent of ancient totems or dream imagery.<br><br>
The palette is muted earth tones, blues, pinks and purples. On clean white paper in good condition. Verso: "© 2016". Signed "ISHISHI" at lower right.<br><br>
