One of the more figuratively charged works in this series, this piece brings ISHISHI's surrealist vocabulary to bear on a composition anchored by two large disembodied eyes that stare outward from the architectural fantasy world. A stylized bird or rooster in the upper left adds a further figurative dimension, while the familiar domed architecture with Middle Eastern/Byzantine arches and staircases fills the surrounding space. The palette here is notably warm, with reds and pinks playing a more prominent role than in the cooler-toned architectural works. The overall effect is more dreamlike and psychologically charged than the purely architectural compositions.<br>
