Excalibur Phaeton IV Model History
The Excalibur marque was founded in the 1960s with the aim of recreating the elegance and presence of 1920s and 1930s luxury automobiles, while utilising contemporary drivetrains and components for improved reliability. By the time the Series IV Phaeton was introduced in the early 1980s, Excalibur had refined the formula into a more comfortable and usable grand tourer, retaining the signature long bonnet, exposed-style headlights, sweeping guards, and upright grille. The Phaeton IV represents one of the final evolutions of the model, blending classic coachbuilt aesthetics with dependable General Motors V8 power, making it a recognisable and collectible neo-classic today.
