The R33 GTS-25t is the car that gave a generation of enthusiasts their first taste of the Skyline name. Powered by Nissan's legendary RB25DET, a 2.5-litre twin-cam turbo inline-six that responds to modification like few other engines of its era, the ECR33 coupe remains one of the most capable and rewarding platforms in the Japanese performance landscape. Under the bonnet, the RB25DET retains its factory block and head, but the breathing hardware has been upgraded. A front-mount intercooler with polished aluminium hard piping replaces the factory side-mount setup. An aftermarket pod filter sits in place of the factory airbox, and the exhaust has been replaced with a large-bore single-exit system. A purple anodised oil filler cap and CPE-branded radiator cap are the small details that suggest the owner cared about what went on under here. The engine bay is tidy and functional, not show-level, but clearly maintained.
The silver metallic exterior (KL0) is honest. The paint holds reasonable gloss across most panels, but there is clear coat failure on the bonnet and mild oxidation developing on the roof. Headlights are hazed from UV exposure. The panels themselves are straight with no visible dents or rust, and panel gaps are even throughout. An aftermarket rear wing in body colour sits on the boot lid. Underneath, 18-inch aftermarket 5-spoke alloys wearing Kumho Ecsta PS71 rubber in 265/35 ZR18 fill the arches well, and the car sits on lowered aftermarket suspension. Red painted brake calipers add a touch of colour behind the spokes. A GReddy boost controller is fitted inside the cabin.
Inside, the factory dark grey velour interior is in good shape for the age and kilometres. Seats show no rips or tears, the dashboard is free of cracks, door cards are intact, and the headliner is solid. GReddy floor mats cover the driver and passenger footwells. An aftermarket Pioneer head unit replaces the factory radio, and the shift knob has been swapped for an aftermarket item. The rear battery relocation box sits in the boot.
R33 GTS-25t coupes in manual with this level of modification typically trade in the $20,000 to $35,000 range in the current market, with cleaner examples pushing higher. The clear coat failure keeps expectations grounded, but the mechanical specification is strong and the platform has enormous potential. RB-powered Skylines continue to appreciate, and the GTS-25t remains the most accessible entry point to genuine Skyline ownership.
