The 1964 Cadillac DeVille 4-Door Sedan is the full expression of what American luxury looked like when it had no compromises. Powered by the 7.0-litre (429 cubic inch) V8, these cars were built to whisper their way across continents and they still do it well today. This example presents in black over a dark navy blue vinyl interior and photographs with genuine presence. The exterior gloss is strong across all panels with good depth. Panel alignment is consistent throughout. The full-width chrome grille is intact and presentable, with age-appropriate patina rather than heavy pitting. Chrome bumpers front and rear, headlight bezels, window surrounds, and the signature tail fin trim are all in place. Whitewall tyres on chrome hub caps are period-correct and suit the car beautifully. Left-hand drive, as built.
The interior presents as you would expect from a car of this age and mileage. Dark navy blue vinyl bench seats front and rear show honest surface wear without tears or splits. Door cards with original patterned lower sections and chrome trim strips are intact on all four doors. The original "Comfort Control" Cadillac dashboard with climate and radio controls is present and complete. The period Cadillac steering wheel with gold crest horn button is original and intact. Dark carpet is fitted. One wheel cover is currently stored loose inside the rear cabin and will need refitting to complete the presentation. The boot is clean with the spare wheel present in its original fabric cover. The engine bay shows the 429ci V8 in factory-correct blue paint, complete and presenting authentically for a 60-year-old car. It is the last of the dramatic fin-era Cadillacs before the bodywork was substantially cleaned up for 1965.
