The VL Calais Turbo in manual configuration is one of the most desirable combinations in the classic Holden catalogue. The Calais badge added upmarket interior trim and a more refined presence over the standard Commodore, while the turbocharged Nissan RB30ET inline-6 and five-speed manual gave it genuine performance credentials. Genuine turbo manual Calais cars are not common, and this example's compliance plate tells the story clearly: LW5 engine code (RB30ET), MS1 transmission code (five-speed manual), paint code 1F075-D confirming factory red, built July 1986. This is not a conversion. The car left the factory as what it claims to be.



The red exterior presents with good overall gloss and strong street presence.
