Previous price notation "$950."
COA: Not present
Frame: Substantial multi-tiered gilt timber frame with green/sage velvet or fabric liner

Condition: Good. The painted board surface appears intact with no visible cracking, losses, or major deterioration. Signature is clearly legible at bottom centre. The reference notation on verso "PH-80" may indicate this is a documented 1980 work. Frame appears structurally sound. No COA is present but signature is consistent with known examples of Pro Hart's signature style.

Kevin Charles "Pro" Hart needs no introduction to collectors of Australian art. Broken Hill's most famous son, Hart painted the outback landscape, its characters, and its strange humour with a love that came from living it. He was self-taught, relentlessly prolific, and genuinely beloved by the Australian public in a way that only Pro Hart and a handful of others ever were. "The Creek" captures an Australian bush scene of gnarled eucalyptus trees arching over a reflective creek, their twisted branches reaching into a deep blue-purple sky. Small figures with a horse and cart are visible in the left middle ground, moving through the dappled light of the scrub. The characteristic Pro Hart palette of dark greens, deep browns, and vivid sky blue is present throughout, along with the confident impasto brushwork that defines his bush subjects. The verso reference "617 PH-80" suggests a 1980 origin and possible catalogue documentation. There is no COA present but this is a signed original on board with provenance markings on the verso consistent with a documented work. Pro Hart originals of this size and subject regularly attract strong auction interest from collectors across Australia.

* Signed "Pro Hart" in black paint at bottom centre
* Title "The Creek" and "Landscape with Bogeyman" inscribed on verso
* Reference "617 PH-80" and previous price "$950" on verso
* Dimensions "14 x 20" inscribed on verso
* Substantial gilt frame with green fabric liner

Artist: Pro Hart (Kevin Charles Hart, 1928-2006)
Title: The Creek (also "Landscape with Bogeyman" per verso)
Medium: Oil on board (Masonite)
Board size: Approximately 35.5 x 50.8 cm (14 x 20 inches)
Subject: Australian bush creek with eucalyptus and figures with horse and cart
Signature: "Pro Hart" at bottom centre in black paint
COA: Not present
Verso ref: "617 PH-80" - possible catalogue or gallery documentation 221811+2
