Bound In Original Vellum With Apparently Contemporary Ink Lettering On The Spine, Few Wood Cut Embellishments At Headings, And A Later Repaired Pictorial Frontispiece, Lacking A 2Cm Segment Evenly Across The Bottom Edge. A Very Attractive Copy- There Is Some Shelf-Wear And Light Handling Of The Binding, As Well As The Aforementioned Repair To The Frontis, And Two Discreet, Contemporary Inscriptions On The Paste-Down. Else Notably Bright And Tidy. This Copy Contains The Bookplate Of Gunnar Wennerberg. Valerius Maximus Is Known As An Author Of Historical Anecdotes During The Reign Of Tiberius, With His Work Used Centrally And Extensively For Education For A Substantial Portion Of The Middle Ages.
