1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Eleanor GT500E Tribute - Black/Silver Reverse Eleanor - 6,523 Miles - 408ci Stroker Cleveland V8, C4 Automatic - Government Certified - Always Garaged

A complete, professionally built Eleanor GT500E tribute on a genuine 1967 Mustang Fastback. Queensland government modification plate certified, 6,523 miles since build, never driven in rain. 408ci stroker Cleveland with MSD ignition and Holley carburettor. The 4-speed top loader manual can be included upon sale.

Description

The Eleanor GT500E is the most iconic movie car of the modern era. Since its appearance in the 2000 remake of "Gone in 60 Seconds," the 1967 Mustang Fastback in Eleanor specification has become a global phenomenon, with properly built tributes commanding serious money at auction worldwide. This example has been built from a genuine 1967 left-hand-drive Mustang Fastback and takes a distinctive approach with a reverse colour scheme, finishing the car in deep black where the movie car is silver, and silver where Eleanor is black. The result is a darker, more aggressive interpretation that stands completely apart from the standard tribute.

Vendor advises the build was completed approximately 14 years ago and the car has been kept in a private collection since, always garaged and never driven in rain. The indicated odometer of 6,523 miles reflects the care taken since build. The Queensland Government Modification Plate (dated 22.2.12, Ref 205898) is present and confirmed in photographs, with VIN 7F02C155450 matching the listing. The exterior is finished with the full Eleanor body treatment: Eleanor-specification fibreglass front end with billet horizontal grille and twin lower fog lights, GT500E billet bonnet panel with raised scoop, Shelby GT.500 quarter panel badges, Carroll Shelby Design Approved bootlid medallion, Shelby American Inc. sill plates, and large Torq-Thrust style multi-spoke alloy wheels. Custom stainless steel side-exit exhausts exit below the rear quarter panels. The paint presents to a very high standard throughout with exceptional depth and gloss.

Under the bonnet sits a fully rebuilt Ford 351 Cleveland V8 stroked to 408 cubic inches (vendor advises), dressed with finned Cobra valve covers, MSD ignition, Holley performance carburettor, and aluminium cylinder heads. A rebuilt Ford C4 3-speed automatic transmission with reverse-pattern floor shifter and stall converter transfers power to a Ford 9-inch limited-slip differential with heavy-duty 31-spline axles, confirmed visible in undercarriage photographs. The chassis has received front coil-over suspension, front disc brakes, adjustable power steering, and a front sway bar. Vendor advises the original 4-speed top loader manual transmission remains available and can be included upon sale for the buyer who prefers it.

Inside, the refurbished cabin features new black leather front bucket seats with Shelby cobra embossing, retractable front seatbelts, rear sash belts, and Dynamat insulation throughout the floor for heat and noise reduction. The dashboard retains the period instrument cluster with Carroll Shelby Design Approved badge at centre, augmented with additional gauges on the centre console. A LeCarra wood-rim steering wheel completes the period-correct driver experience. An Alpine head unit and Pioneer 400W amplifier provide the audio, while an alarm and immobiliser system is also fitted. G.T.500 branded floor mats, a Shelby GT.500 glove box badge, and Shelby American Inc. sill plates complete the interior presentation.
