Exterior
The Calypso Red Metallic paint (BMW colour code 252/5, confirmed by factory colour label) retains reasonable gloss across the door and rear quarter panels, though the bonnet and boot lid show significant paint oxidation and fading consistent with long-term outdoor exposure. A crease is visible on the bonnet panel near the front badge. Minor paint transfer marks are present on the rear bumper. The body lines remain straight and the panel gaps are consistent. The chrome kidney grille and window surrounds are intact. The four-round-headlight front end is characteristic E32 and presents well at a distance.
The roof is fitted with a sunroof, however the glass panel is currently absent and the opening has been covered. Buyers should confirm the current status of the sunroof assembly.
Aftermarket multi-spoke BMW-style 17-inch alloy wheels are fitted all round, replacing the original basketweave factory units. Tyres are a mix of Yokohama Bluearth and Bridgestone in 235/45R17 size. The original-style factory alloy wheel travels as a spare in the boot.
Interior
The 750iL long-wheelbase cabin is the centrepiece of this car. The rear passenger compartment offers exceptional legroom, individual headrests for both rear seats, and the iconic fold-out burr walnut picnic table mounted to the back of the front passenger seat, which is present and in excellent condition. The burr walnut veneer extends to the door cappings, centre console, and dashboard inserts, all retaining good colour and sheen.
Cream leather upholstery is present throughout, showing age-related wear and creasing on the driver's seat bolsters and seat faces consistent with 35 years of use. The rear seats are in better condition. The carpets are worn and soiled. An aftermarket head unit has been installed in the centre stack, paired with a JBL GT4-12 subwoofer in the boot. The original BMW on-board computer remains in the instrument cluster. Climate control, cruise control, and power window switches are all present. The headliner shows signs of lifting in the roof area.
Engine
The M70 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V12 is the reason collectors pursue the 750iL above all other E32 variants. Twelve individual intake runners and the distinctive BMW cam covers are visible under the bonnet. The engine bay is grimy from age and shows surface corrosion on the inner chassis rails and firewall, as expected for a 35-year-old vehicle that has not undergone restoration. No major oil leaks are visible. The M70 is mechanically intact.
