No foundry marks, signatures, or maker's stamps identified.
Period: Victorian era, circa 1860-1910, Continental European manufacture.
Certificate of Authenticity: Not present.

Condition: Used/aged overall. Heavy dark patina with accumulated dust and grime throughout. Areas of surface corrosion and oxidation on head and hair. Minor chipping to toes and base edges. Some granular surface texture consistent with age. The flat circular disc platform at the top of the head indicates a missing upper component, likely a candle holder, lamp fitting, or dish. Crystal glass bead necklace present on figure - this is a later, non-original decorative addition. No major structural cracks or breaks observed.

A substantial Victorian cast metal figural sculpture depicting a classical seated cherub or putti on a naturalistic floral base. The figure holds what appears to be a cornucopia or shell vessel in the left hand, with draped fabric across the lap. The circular base is decorated with high-relief botanical motifs including flowers, leaves, and shells. The modelling throughout is competent and well-detailed, with the figure intended to be viewed in the round. The flat platform at the top of the head is a strong indicator that this piece originally served as a figural lamp base, candelabrum support, or tazza stand, with an upper fitting now missing. Cast in iron or spelter alloy with an aged dark brown-black patina. No foundry marks or maker's stamps have been identified on inspection of the underside or base. A later glass bead necklace has been added to the figure and is included in the lot.

Buyers should be aware the upper fitting/component is missing. Dimensions are approximate and should be confirmed prior to bidding.

Medium: Cast metal (cast iron or spelter), dark patina
Height (approx): 55-65 cm
Base diameter (approx): 18-22 cm
Period: Victorian era, circa 1860-1910
Attribution: Unknown maker
Accessories: Later glass bead necklace (non-original, included)
COA: Not present
Condition: Fair - heavy patina, grime, surface oxidation, missing upper component 655397+3
