Description


This collection comprises 27 hand-carved game pieces in two distinct materials and finishes. The lot includes approximately 20 jade pieces in varying shades of green (from pale celadon to deep forest green) and 7 obsidian pieces in polished black with visible grain patterns.




Jade Pieces


The jade components feature traditional carved designs including pagoda-style finials, seated figures, and decorative cylindrical forms with relief detailing. The lighter jade pieces display translucent qualities characteristic of quality nephrite, whilst the darker pieces show the dense, lustrous finish of deeper jade varieties. Each piece exhibits hand-finishing marks consistent with traditional carving techniques.




Obsidian Pieces
