About This Car
The HSV GTS is the top of the Holden Special Vehicles tree. Since the very first HSV rolled out of Clayton, the GTS has always been the one that mattered most, and the VE Series II E2 generation, built from 2010 through to 2013, represents the final evolution of the naturally aspirated GTS story before HSV moved to supercharged power. This particular example was built on 14 April 2010, carries Build No. 0623, and is finished in Heron White with Option Code SVPB, all confirmed by the HSV E2 build plate mounted to the front of the car.
At the heart of this GTS sits the LS3 6162cc naturally aspirated V8, producing 325kW at 6,000rpm and 550Nm at 4,600rpm, paired with the factory TR6060 6-speed manual transmission. This is the configuration that collectors want. The manual GTS is rarer, more engaging and commands a genuine premium over the automatic, and that is reflected consistently in the market. Three pedals, 325 kilowatts, no turbos, no complexity: just one of the finest naturally aspirated V8 and gearbox combinations ever installed in an Australian car.
Externally the Heron White paint presents well across all panels with good gloss and straight body lines. The 20-inch GTS five-spoke alloys in dark graphite sit behind yellow Brembo brake calipers, and the combination with the white body and GTS yellow badging is one of the most visually effective HSV colour/trim combinations from this era. The aggressive GTS front splitter, bonnet dome, side intakes with yellow GTS script, rear diffuser and GTS rear wing complete a purposeful, cohesive exterior that looks exactly as HSV intended.
Inside, the factory GTS red and black leather and suede sport cabin is all present and correct. GTS embroidery sits on every headrest including the rear bench, the red leather gear lever gaiter with the TR6060 shift pattern is in position, and the three auxiliary HSV gauges mounted to the top of the dash are functioning. The red leather door cards with their round speaker pods add to the drama of the interior. Front seat suede centres show some wear consistent with the car's 162,083 kilometre history, while the rear bench presents in very good condition. A factory sunroof opens to the sky, the Blaupunkt navigation unit operates, and the HSV wallet with the E Series II handbook is present with the car.
The LS3 engine bay is clean and presents as the naturally aspirated V8 it is: the signature red engine cover stamped with the GTS 325 specification plate dominates the bay, and there is no turbo, no supercharger and no intercooler piping to navigate. Vendor advises the car is unmodified from factory specification.
